It was Dave’s first time in Arizona. He was there visiting his cousin, who had moved there last year. He really liked Phoenix. It was big, and man, was it ever spread out. What he liked most though, were the mountain ranges.
They didn’t have mountains in Iowa, so this was new to him. He always wanted to see a mountain range. His cousin, Randy, drove him all over Phoenix, showing him the sights. Very nice, and the style of the homes. They were totally different than from where he lived. He wouldn’t mind moving out here. Again, of course, there were the mountains. Everywhere you looked.
Randy took him to one of the ranges, and he was in total awe. It brought something to his mind that he had never really given much thought. It was Luke 19:40.
The people were praising God, and the Pharisees told Jesus to rebuke his disciples. Jesus told them in verse 40, “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
Dave had always imagined, stones on the ground crying out, “Praise God.” When he saw the mountain range though, he just thought about the awesomeness of God, and how the mountain structure just cried out, “Glory to God!”
